The Czech Republic is represented in JPIAMR by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
The Czech Republic is one of the European countries where the increasing resistance especially in Gram-negative pathogens has become a serious issue. The bacterial resistance is surveyed in community and hospital-acquired pathogens through the national (respiratory and urinary tract infections) and European (EARS-Net) projects. The surveillance of resistance is performed and coordinated by National reference laboratory for antibiotics located at the National Institute of Public Health.
