The Covid-19 pandemic has increased the use of wastewater surveillance as an early warning system for outbreaks. However, wastewater surveillance programs can also be used to monitor other pathogens to combat disease outbreaks and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This workshop focuses on African perspectives and research on this theme.
