Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance

Coordination and Support Action

To support the implementation of the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance, the initiative received funding from the European Commission’s Framework 7 in the form of a Coordination and Support Action (CSA).  The CSA, contract No. 323209, remains active until the end of February 2016.

Out of JPIAMR’s 19 participating countries and organisations, eight are active partners in the CSA consortium.

The CSA is divided into work packages (WPs) to secure rapid implementation of JPIAMR as a mature European partnership.

  • WP1 delivers the coordination and management needed for efficient operationEC flag
  • WP2 delivers a communication strategy
  • WP3 delivers a Strategic Research Agenda
  • WP4 implements activities
  • WP5 deals with stakeholder involvement
  • WP6 will enable a framework for the evaluation of the initiative as well as set the rules for IPR.

In this way, JPIAMR aims to integrate relevant scientific fields across national borders and to create a common European research agenda with a shared common vision.
